Recruiting Blogswap FAQs
If I don't have a Web site or blog, can I still be a member of the Recruiting Blogswap?
Yes, but only as an author
How many articles can I submit for publication at one time?
A Recruiting Blogswap author may submit as many articles as he likes, but each article should only be submitted ONCE. This ensures that publishers receive a steady flow of original content.
What can I do if I publish an article, but can't accept it through the Recruiting Blogswap automated system?
If at any time you are unable to accept an article that you have already published, please send an email to CollegeRecruiter.com's
content coordinator, Candice@collegerecruiter.com, letting her know that you are having difficulties and need her to manually approve
an article for you. Remember to include the URL that you are trying to submit, otherwise, your article cannot be manually approved.
I remembered my password but forgot my username. What should I do?
If you forget your username, simply send an email to CollegeRecruiter.com's content coordinator,
Candice@collegerecruiter.com, and she will forward the information to you.
What if I have more than one blog?
For each blog, you must submit a separate application.
How many articles will I receive and how will I know?
Typically, Recruiting Blogswap publishers only receive one article at a time, but it's possible for you to receive two or more.
Each time an article is submitted for your consideration, you will receive an email notification. You will receive an email confirmation when the URL you submitted is accepted.
How will I know when one of my articles has been published?
You will receive an email notification every time one of your articles has been accepted through the Recruiting Blogswap.
What if I get an article that I don't want to publish?
Recruiting Blogswap publishers are under no obligation to publish any article that they feel is inappropriate or in any other way a poor fit for their blogs. Simply reject the article that you don't want, and it will be sent to the next publisher in line. Your name will then be returned to the publishers' queue until another article has been submitted for your consideration.
How long does it take for an article to be accepted by a publisher?
Publishers have a few days to decide whether to publish an article or not. If they don't publish within the deadline, the article is automatically offered to the next publisher in line until a publisher accepts it or it has been universally declined. So it may take an hour, a month, or longer for an article to be published but most are published within days.
Will I receive notification if nobody publishes my article?
Authors are informed by email as soon as their articles are published.
Will I be notified when my article is re-posted on CollegeRecruiter.com?
Virtually all of the articles that are published by participating authors through the Recruiting Blogswap are then also published on one of the blogs on CollegeRecruiter.com, but our system does not notify the authors when that has happened. We typically re-publish the articles within a week.
Can I include links back to my Web site or blog in my article?
Yes, authors can include links back to their Web sites or blogs within their articles, provided that those links are consistent with our rules against any hard or soft sells within the body of the article. So feel free to link back to content on your site that may help readers better understand your message, but please do not link back to pages on your site if those links are likely to be interpreted as efforts to promote your products or services.
How can I format my text and add links to my articles when I submit them to the Recruiting Blogswap through the automated system?
All articles must be submitted using standard HTML code so if you want one or more links in your article, please include the HTML code for those links. Many and perhaps most of the publishers are unwilling or unable to code links or format text so will just copy and paste what they receive. It is therefore very important that you submit your article so that it can be copied and pasted by the publishers.
Are authors allowed to post excerpts of their articles and include within those excerpts links back to their own sites so readers need to click to the site to read the entire article?
No. The Recruiting Blogswap is a free article exchange that is designed to help publishers get fresh content for their blogs and to give authors exposure to audiences they might not otherwise reach. This can be done more effectively if authors submit complete articles for publishers to post.
Can publishers include links in the articles they publish through the Recruiting Blogswap?
No, publishers cannot embed their own links when publishing Recruiting Blogswap articles. Our rules prohibit publishers from altering the articles they publish and all Blogswap members from including any hard or soft sells within the bodies of the articles. So feel free to add above, below, or beside an article your perspective or provide additional information but do not add links within or make other material changes to the title or body of the article itself. We do allow publishers to make non-material changes to correct typos or grammatical errors.
